CPU for KR7A? Morgan 1.3?

I fried my xp1800 and am not happy. I am looking for another cpu. I was considering going with a duron for now and going up to a tbred later. Do the 1.3 morgan durons overclock well? What have some of you gotten out of it? I will only be air cooling, either with the ax-7 or the slk-800. I will probabally have a high volume fan on there too. Or would it be better just to go with an xp again?

I'd get a 1600+ if i were you. They're not expensive and overclock really well. But if your looking for saving some money then definitly go for a Duron.

Morgan Duron's do not overclock well, I have a 1.2 and I can get to about 1350mhz stable. However it seems that they all hit a wall at 1400 and that is why a 1.4ghz version was never released. Get an XP 1600+ I have heard they overclock really well, I know I will be getting one.

Ditto. The price difference is about 20 bucks, and alot of performance. Your guaranteed to get an AGOIA or AGOI and possibly a "Y" at Newegg.

yep the low end XP is the go
with the durons hitting their limits at about 1.4ghz
not much more money for more performance and overclockability
