Ddr? Dual or single?

I was wondering reading some stuff i have heard that early next year the ddr dual system(not sure) will be out... as of right now its all single channel hasnt it? Apparently these wont be compatible with current mobos.. so my question is should i wait or should i do it now and buy the mobo that i want (it7 max)

I say buy now. The dual channel amd boards I belive will be for the hammer chipsets and the memory will probably be ddr2.
It will be a long wait and the first chipset if history has any relevance will probably have some "bugs" in it.

I am not sure when the nforce2 chipset will be available but it might be worth waiting for if it's sooner than later.

but right out of the box, nVidia promises 4GB/s or faster using sandra if you got your Bus speed at 333MHz and are using Dual 400MHz DDR400 dimms running at CL2.5.

Upwards of 5GB/s can be achieved if you use CL2 and crank up the bus speed into the 400MHz+ range.
