!!!UPDATE!!!
NEW LOOK ON THE SITE...CHECK IT OUT!
FORM MAIL IS NOW WORKING! It's cheesy as hell, but it works without an e-mail client, so we'll have to deal with what Geocities has to offer for now...
UPDATE YOUR SCORES!!! EVERYONE CHECK YOUR DATABASE SCORE AND MAKE SURE THE INFO IS CORRECT. IF YOU WANT TO ADD ANYTHING THAT WOULD FALL UNDER THE NEW CATAGORIES, USE THE FORM AND SEND IT IN!!!
**************************************************
For those of you who don't know me, my name is Jeremy, and I run the updates and site maintenance for the OC3DMark Team website. For some time now, I have been thinking about some changes that I would like to make to the database, and the way the scores are catagorized, as well as a few new sections. We are still looking for a server, and someone who can code the database backend in an active script (.asp, .php, or anything else for that matter), but most of the changes I have in mind will occur on the front end only, so they can be implemented now.
I will put these suggestions up to the members, because I myself am a member, and nothing more. I do not "run" the site. I was not a founding member. I do not take credit for any of the site contents, other than the design, which was done to help out RainMaQer. So, this should and will be a team effort, or I will choose not to take part in it at all. I am not in charge.
I would like to incorporate a few new sections into the database catagorization, so that the catagories would be as follows:
Name
Video Card (Model\Manufacturer)
Video Card Clk\Mem
Processor Speed (Default)
Processor Speed (Tested)
Default URL
Standard\Stable URL
Non-Standard\Suicide URL
These new catagories would better shed light on the pontential of individual cards, which manufacturers' cards do better, and what clock speeds do better. Also, a Standard\Stable score would be no less than ALL the test run at default settings. A score resulting from only the 4 game tests, or any score resulting from a non-default bench would be placed in the Non-Standard\Suicide catagory. I am also considering making the Default score standard, so that visitors can see the results of our overclocking efforts in contrast to the stock card. Any present scores that fall under the new catagories would simply be moved...no scores would be removed from the site.
I would also like to make a BIO page for the top 3 scorers in each card catagory. This would allow the top people to write a short BIO of their system, enhancements and tricks they used to achieve their score, etc. This would help out the newer members greatly. This would be optional, and not forced on anyone.
I will work on the submission process more, so that it will be easier for people to submit their results\updates. Please have patience with me on this. Their isn't a lot I can do without a working cgi bin, and Geocities can't seem to get this straight. I really am trying my best...
I would love to hear some suggestions from you guys, also, but in order to keep the confusion down, please limit your remarks right now to the suggestions I have made above. When we come to a yay\nay conclusion on these, we can introduce more ideas. I'm just trying to take this one step at a time right now :)
Please give me your opinions to the ideas presented above, and we can get this ball rolling...

Sounds all very nice!!
Only one suggestion:
*****************
Cancel the "Suicide-scores"! Those are like daring acts we made as little kids and they are not representative at all!
Keep on your great work!

suicide scores help though! they help to show limits of a card in comparison to the deafults. It gives a great idea of what are card can and cannot do! also if the cooling is listed it will help show what cooling is required to go higher on these clock setting.
I have one other thing takiwa... will the OC3d part also be put up? i know this comes second and should but i was just wondering where things stood.
IT looks like you have been working hard and brainstorming a lot on the site and i think all that you have proposed sounds great!!! Look forward to seeing the outcome.

between selling my old system, setting up my new one, trying to install/learn how to use Linux...I haven't had much of a chance to work on anything. I can barely keep up with the submissions I'm getting for 3DMark...but if if you or Archaine want to get the pages up, I'll be happy to send them to you with the pass and nic for geocities...I know y'all have been waiting on this, and I haven't delivered as promised. I am very sorry for that :(

Those are some nice additions to consider, takiwa! All of that info should already be in the descriptions of each benchmark's compare url, but it would be handy to have out in the open too. Since you want to let the top scorers add some of their insight, I'd also recongnize them in the lists by changing the color of the text for their names.
Talk to Cluster about free hosting and/or any other needs for the site. He's been gone the last few days, but I'd expect him to show up again pretty soon.
I've been playing with HTML in school lately. If you'd send a simple template, I can start working on OC3d's folding page. I'd like to be able to include every member's avatar next to their name and a list of all the rigs they contribute to OC3D's folding effort. Plus hyperlinks to Stanford and Statsman at the top of the page, and an introductory paragraph about OC3d at the top of the page which I'll write.
Something like:
Centered Title
Centered Banner type 3dmark Graphic
Intro Paragraph
Left and Right-aligned Links to stats
Centered Folding Banner type Graphic
OC3d totals of rig data which I can take from our thread.
A table for each member's folding plant/farm with a right-aligned avatar for each member.
Link back to OC3dmark main site at bottom of the page.
I can get all the graphics and avatars, but the basic layout would help a lot. So far I'm pretty good at plugging stuff into HTML, but I haven't made any code from scratch yet.
sounds great to me:D
although i dunno much about web hosting or active script, if the site needs me, i'd be more than happy to help:beer:
OC3D RULES!!!
I think everyone should have the option of a bio. Maybe not like ten paragraphs, but something like:
-gpu/mem
-card cooling
-cpu cooling
-case cooling
-vmods, yes/no
Stuff like that. I think people out of the top three would have good stuff to add. The top three can be a matter of hardware sometimes, if they can afford top end stuff then their score goes up, but some people on lower end machines may have tweaked like crazy to get where they are.
Other than that I like it all. I should send up my new Ti200 scores, I was getting to 9K before my vacation, if I play a bit more I'm sure I can get up to 9100-9200. Once I figure out how to vmod my Gainward Ti200 it'll rise significantly.
Plus I might be getting a new 1600 from newegg, I hear they're all AGOIA's and AROIA's. Watch out #1, I might catch ya' :)

How about also adding a "high detail" test, run at standard/stable speed. Basically turn all detail options on high, (-3 LOD, 8x antrisopic, maybe even some degree of AA). I mean really, who plays games with a +3 LOD, it looks just plain awful.

i agree with Illah about everyone have some sort of BIO.
would be intresting to see what people are doing to get those killer scores with the same card i have.
I'm gonna go ahead and add the new catagories over the next few days, then. The BIO's will have to be limited to the top 3 until we get a new sever, after that I'm all for everyone having one...as well as avatars :D And I'm all for a high detail test Wyrm, but this would have to be after I can get someone to do some active coding on the database backend...
ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS!!!
YOU HAVE UNTIL SUNDAY TO GET YOUR 3DMARK BENCHES IN COMFORMITY WITH THE RULES!
ANY SCORE THAT DOES NOT CONFORM WILL BE REMOVED!!!
READ THE RULES HERE (http://www.geocities.com/oc3dmark/join.html) TO MAKE SURE YOUR ENTRY IS LEGAL AND IN THE CORRECT FORM!!!
Tests with the 4 games only will be moved to Non-Standard\Suicide Score catagory then...
:D
Doh!!! i'm at 4th place in G3 Ti200!!!:(

What about the new rule you where planning? The one with the NON-OCd at all scores??
Ehmm - and if you have the time..... I scored some points more (as every day) - 11.623 (http://service.madonion.com/compare?2k1=3968486)
Hope I donīt tease you too much :eh?:
i think the suicide score should be eliminated... i don't know about you... but i don't run my card with artifacts... so my suicide score is only like 30 points higher than my stable overclock.
also... maybe you can have the cards seperated like you have now... and have it setup like a thread with avatar on the left with the brief bio below then the system design and 3dmark results in the middle to right side.
also i think the first page should remain the "intro" style where you hafta click to enter. then on the main page there should be a spot for the #1 score. this would induce competition for the die hard o/c'ers to get on the main page.
Doh!!! i'm at 4th place in G3 Ti200!!! As of Sunday, you will be in third, unless Malakai sends me a result with all the tests ran...I had to bump his down based on his default score because his stable score fell into the non-standard catagory (only the 4 game tests...sorry bro)What about the new rule you where planning? The one with the NON-OCd at all scores?? Those fall under the default catagory...i think the suicide score should be eliminated... i don't know about you... but i don't run my card with artifacts... so my suicide score is only like 30 points higher than my stable overclock. This was talked about earlier. Non-standard/Suicide needs to be there to show people the limits of any particular card, as well as a place for scores that are not ran under the default conditions and do not follow the rules.
Alright guys, I just sent out 8 e-mails about the rules. You must have www.overclockers.com somewhere in the title of your project. If you don't, IT WILL NOT GET POSTED ON THE SITE. I just recieved another without the proper title, so I have to send another e-mail. Please follow the rules, guys, they're there for a reason...
Also, can everyone hold off submitting new scores and updated ones until Monday? It will take me all weekend to finish re-gatagorizing the databse, and I won't be able to update anyone until then. Also, with the new catagories coming out, I will need more info than what you are sending in now. Just hold off until Monday ok? Thanks...:)
The database page for the Radeon 8500 that's up now is what all the pages will look like, if y'all want to check it out...
bump so everyone reads this

Looks nice! - Good job! Thanks! - I had to test the new sumbit form :D (I know I tease you - but now I wonīt post new results for a few weeks - I promise ;)).
...and once again - the "default"-URL - didnīt you think about making it required? Or did I get this wrong?
....and one more thing: May I copy your nice blue and white "3D Mark Team"-banner from your sig into mine :D?
updated, sir...you are now in 3rd place :D

And no, I do not mind. If any one wants to use the OC3DMark link out of my sig, here is the code (just copy it, remove the spaces in front of the words "URL" and "color", and paste it)
