For roughly the price of those two cards you should be looking into a GeForce3 Ti200, preferably the Gainward Golden sample. People hit the high 9000's and 10K with that card...

the ti200 G3 card is noticeably more cash, of the 2 cards he questions the better bet is the 7500

check the review on toms or anandtech about the Unreal 2003 card shootout, the 7500 beats the mx card , and is not very far behind the Ti200 G3 card
