easyest way to unlock a XP proc?

i want to unlock mine .... BUT im scared of most methods i saw... im not really handy with small things cuase i have shaky hands.... but i really want to unlock it :)

if you have a xp2000 or less here:
get yourself a windows defogger kit and some super glue! this is very easy to do. check out this thread (http://forum.oc-forums.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=66470) and this article (http://www.overclockers.com/tips693/).

another very easy method is to use the kit from highspeedpc (http://www.highspeedpc.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=HSPC&Product_Code=XPkit&Category_Code=OC). i have used this kit on one proc and things went very quick and easy

if you have a 2100 or more then there isn't an easy way:( you can see how to do that here (http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleID=1009)

I've got one question. What happens to the people who are unable to get the defogger kit or the conductive ink pen, is there any thing that he could try?

i dont know what you can do, you could soldier them, it is possible..

i think highspeedpc ships world wide, you could see if they will ship to israel. as far as other methods, the only ones i have heard about are, conudctive silver laquer, defogger, and microsoldering.

windows defogger kit <=== wtf is that?

and i prolly cant get ANY kits at all.... im in belgium and there are no shops that have stuff like this that i know off

also that whole glue thing is what im afraid off really... ill prolly make a mess and blow the cpu..using tape to make lines??.... arf seams so hard?..... (i want my tbird back :rolleyes: )

a window defogger kit is what fixes the defoggers on your car's back window in for somehow the lines get scratch and don't work.

You should be able to find it at any autoparts store. if not see if highspeedpc will ship to you.

i got that lying around :p

btw no easyer way?... so basicly we are saying fill holes with glue and then connect the dots?... also doenst mather if the glue connect the holes does it? i mean it doesnt conduct?

haha, then you are good to go:). just get some superglue and fill the pits and connect the bridges and you are set. check on the the guides in that thread if you need a nice detailed guide.

i did that but the seam to clearup the glue connecting pit from pit?... well i think so... i find that tutorial bad cuase the use blocks of colour instead of a real picture....

so my question is... hmm maybe this is better .....

the glue thing like the top one is fine, and what is rong with my guide? it seems pretty good, iv seen a lot of people scrape up their processors doing it the other way...

yeah you can, and even better you can use a pencil eracer! very easy to do!

pencil erraser? as in those with a one side a marker to write over the erracer itself? other side the erraser...used to go over those pens with ink patrens in em?

Ok, thats superglue applied first, then defogger is the brown stuff??? And is it cool to just leave the tape on after you're done??

you can put tape on to cover it up or something, you can leave it on as long as its not covering your next bridge,
