ok guys, i had my heart set on the visontek xtasy ti4400, but i got a raise, and i'm planning on going all out and getting a ti4600 instead. i was planning on the visontek xtasy but in looking at newegg i saw the leadtek winfast was only $309 compared to the xtasy's $339..aside from price difference, the leadtek is also supposed to overclock like mad and it has a phat ass cooling system. my main question is about good reputation, which i know visontek has. does anyone here have a leadtek card that they would recommend over an xtasy?

i'm really wanting to get the best performance possible, but i'd also like to have a good named card, not something that i'm going to worry about breaking on me if i try to pump it for more juice should i feel the need arise.

i know there are other cards too, but these are the two i'm interested in, so try to keep it between these two cards or their varations.

another thing to think about: a higher end version of the leadtek has VIVO (video in, video out) and video capture for about the same price as the xtasy, and the xtasy has tv in, tv out...are these essentially the same thing? with both cards would i be able to capture and edit video should i want to?

thanks for replies..

jeff

IMO, I'd go with the LeadTek. That heatsink looks wicked cool and they are a pretty reputable brand, so I've heard.

hell yea!:)
i have a ti4400 (A250TD), it doesnt have hardware monitoring but i am able to overclock it hell far. the default gpu speed is 275mhz and memory is 550mhz. I was able to clock them up to 300/650mhz. Thats as fast as a ti4600! I can probably go higher, but im happy with the way it is.
Get the Leadtek, but make sure u have room, its a damn long card.:D

I can't comment on a Visiontek because I dont have one, but the Leadtek I do and its a great card, easily does 340/730 (the max i can get RivaTuner to go on the memory, I was a Powerstrip user in the past and I'm trying to figure out RivaTuner)

My advise is to watch Newegg's Refurb section as Ive seen ti4600's as low as $159 (rlemieux
just got one for $189, the key is to use the E-mail alert as they add ti4600's often.......they also sell out quick)

thanks guys, i've been reading some reviews on hardware sites as well, and i've pretty much decided its going to be a tossup..both cards will kick ass no matter what. i think it will come down to features and what comes packaged with it, not the card itself (even though the leadtek's heatsink is hella cool).
