the best driver right now i think is the newest one straight from ATI, the new catalyst drivers.. they are the best ati's produced, very few "nightmares" so to speak..

as for the bios flash i too am trying to track one down, hopefully someone will post a link!

ps. what kind of cooling are you planning on puttin on it? or just leaving it stock? just curious

Well I bought a retail Radeon 128 DDR LE card for a sweet deal, the equal or $123 US here in Canada. Thanks for the info, I will look for bios flash as well.

I am just gonna leave the stock cooling for now and flash the bios so I can run 275/275.

Do you know if there is any chance the card will do 275/275 just using powerstrip or rivatuner without flashing. Once I flash I will try to see how high I can go without changing the cooling only cause I do not want to be bothered. I have seen some at 300/300 using stock cooling so if it will do that I will leave it as is.

If I choose a new gpu cooler prolly just get a crystal orb or any other decent cooler that ain't loud.

I am currently using the Omega/Plutonium 1.1.7 which are basically the Catalyst revised for better performance (At least for me). Thinks seem sharper and quality is much better. Erm, has adjustable bars like the Catalyst as well. It scored 200 points in 3dmark over the Catalyst which I was previously using.

Good Luck Cisco.

Yodels beat me to it. I'm using the same Omega Plutonium drivers and they rock! They are based on the catalyst drivers but have been tweaked. Included with the drivers is an overclocking program, an artifact tester and way more features than the standard drivers.
