The copper beast is more or less finished. I gotta shine the copper and touch up the paint. Also, im open to suggestions about what kind of grills to get. I dont have any yet cuz i cant decide.

Second, disregard the wire thingy hanging on the outside-front of the case, i just havnt tucked it in yet.

Couldn't help but ask... Only a vid card?

You must have onboard everything

Case looks great though.

Only a vid card?

Yeah, im waiting on windows XP Pro before I install everything. I just installed win98se to see how far I could overclock the chip.

I got a 1.6@ 1.86 on a pure fsb overclock. Multiplier is still locked. Im gonna up the core voltage and see if I can get more out of it.

As far as the oxidation, thats no lie. That copper was shiny two days ago. Im gonna shine it to a high gloss, then spray the conformal coating on it = no more oxidation.

Thanks guys... i know she needs a little touch up here and there. But im tired of working on it for now :)

I love the color combination. Just do a bit of cleaning up on those front fan holes. :)

Not to be rude, but my very first comment on the very first post was I got no grills. Once I get them they should cover the fan cut-outs nicely.
btw..im still open to suggestions about a grill design

I get a lot of comments about how crappy the fans look. Despite the fact i explain im gonna put grills over them. Do people ACTUALLY read the text that accompanies pics or do they just skip right over the words?

(im not ranting at you Jayhawk, your just the 20th person to tell me this and yet I have explained in every post I have made [on other forums] that im gonna get grills)

Grills won't cover up everything.

My recommendation is to first smooth out the edges of the holes and then put on the grills.

If the plastic was flat you could use car door molding to cover up the rough spots but I don't think it'd work here.

ahhh... i already put a spare grilll i had laying around on there. It covers the cuts nicely. Thats why i suspected my permanent grills would also cover it.

Sadly my bezel is over an inch thick, and even if I wanted to smooth out the edges, i really dont have anything to smooth them with ( believe me, I have already tried). Also, That is a very snug fit in that bezel, im afraid it I cut/smooth/trim any further the fans wont stay in there. There isnt anything holding the fans in that bezel except the corners which I cut into it.

Performance?

Yeah i wasnt sure how my unusual base thingy would perform either. ..

Well, i got it overclocked 200mhz, then I ran CPU burn-in and looping 3dmark2001se for about 6 hours. After all that my max temp was 34C.

Ambient is about 26C. I havnt lapped or put water wetter in there yet.

Nice!

Impressive even though your not using water wetter!
