Coolbits hack dont have enough mhz?? what to use

Well i used Winfox software that came with my card. and it can set my card to 375/501, but everyone said to use coolbits but it only goes to like 230/460 for my card should i go back to the card software provided. i was running stable at 301/465, now cant becaue of coolbits. that is at 1x AGP 1290 drivers and win2k. I know the bovious is go with what is faster but everyone said use coolbits is there something i might be missing
