some linux install within windows if you choose that route. best to dual boot though and burn the iso and boot install that way. might want to visit the alternative os section
Linux is for bitches :) (add a .com to that and you'll see why ;) )
FreeBSD, baby!

biohazard FreeBSD will put the smack down on linux in a heart beat! but if your going to go linux i kinda like mandrake yes it isnt the fastest but its simple and autio detects everything its a good way to get used to unix commands so that eventualy you can upgrade to a ture unix like FreeBSD. the best thing to do is partition your hard drive with about 500mb for your win 98 there i guess and the rest to your linux install. personaly for a server id never use win 98 id just go nt or all unix. anyways just boot the system with the install cd in and cd set as first boot device pretty simple stuff. if that doesnt work you can make a boot floppy to load the cd installer with most *nix'es from dos of windows.

Hmm, i'd recommend you making a goal and getting that Server to 200MHz.. Freebsd best for a server.. your going to need alot of prompt skillz to use it... Hmm, Nice LCD :o
