I have a creative drive (very old) that has been stored for a long time. Now I have another system I can put it into, but the damn thing won't work.
It appears to be just fine, but neither the OS, nor the Bios can detect it.

I've seen it happen before on several systems. Why does this happen, and can one easily fix this?

Thanks.

How old is it? I think really really old drives used to connect via the soundcard. I may be wrong.

"Manufactured OCTOBER 1994".
Like I said, really old.
It doesn't seem to be a "hardware" problem (motors, etc.).

It has the normal ide connector, the voltage connector. Audio, and digital audio connectors too.

I dunno what could be.
Too bad it's too big for a keychain. :(
