IMPORTANT news regarding the duron contest

Ok most of you know that the current contest is still undecided. Cluster, is still MIA because of his job situation so a new way for deciding the contest has been decided upon. Here is the format:

-- We are running the drawing tomorrow at 3pm NY time

-- We will use a random number generator to perform the drawing. Ploaf will draw the numbers and GTSsimmo, Kendan and I will have the names list to verify the winners.

-- Ploaf will not now the order of the list for the tickets so that that while he is drawing the numbers he will have no idea how the numbers match the names so there will be no bias.

Results will be posted in this thread within an hour of the drawing

--1st place has the first choice of prize, second next, third next and so on down the list, or up rather ;)

As you can see six places were chosen instead of 5 and a 6th prize was added to compensate for Ploaf's 'creative' drawing techniques. ;)

'Bout time!! I ran the Duron in a spare box for a few weeks and he did quite nicely. But since I replaced him with an XP, he's been sitting in his package on my desk. He's very bored and misses his high tech hardware buddies. But most of all he misses folding WU's for 32! :) The Elsa GF2 GTS and Dlink NIC are also anxiously awaiting the chance to meet their new owners.

Verdufreek: The next contest is gonna seriously own!!!

PS. I believe the winners of the current contest will get to pick from the available prizes, rather than have the prizes assigned. We hope in this way to reduce the chance of winning a piece of hardware you can't really use for anything. I suppose some generous souls could even decline from accepting a prize they don't want or need.

2nd PS. I think the Duron had a little accident with some defogger paint. It's all over his L1 bridges. :eek: I knew I should have kept that vial away from him. He's just so fast and wily!! :D
