THANK YOU

THANK YOU for your help.
I also need to know if i have
a crash, and have to reformat
what happens to the block i`m
crunching (can i redownload and
start over), don`t want to lose
anything.

p.s. which way is better,
commandline (3.03)
windows (3.07)

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME:burn:

If you're crunching a work unit and your computer explodes, the data isn't lost. Berkeley sends out multiple copies of the same WU, to make sure it's been crunched accurately. I myself have probably formatted over around 60 or so WUs on accident, simply because I suck. :p

For Windows 95, you'll need to update Winsock for SAH to run properly.

The command line client is *way* better.

The command line version is best for much quicker times.
If you must format, try and save your SETI file someware safe Or like anything else you will loose all the data. Put it back when your done and turn it on.

Just exiting SETI and copying those files for backing up works a treat, i just reinstalled two computers and got them working on the same WU without a hitch, and I was drunk too!
