That's right, my dad is getting my old rig and I don't think his current PSU can hack it so I'll have to give him mine and get a new one for myself.
I want one of those with the extra fan underneath because I want good airflow and it shouldn't be too noisy either since I keep all my fans at 20db (each) at the moment and the hdd is a seagate.
It is very close to my bed you see.
300w is the minimum but if the cost does not differ too much I can go higher.
So which one is the best then? I wont spend too much on it but I'm willing to pay a little more that the avrage cheapo rate to get some reliable stuff.

Enermax and Antec True Power both have a dual fan setup, and both a great brands. Some versions of the Enermax also come with a fan rheostat on the back to control both fans. Look at NewEgg.

Dad's a little grumpy today as allways.
Can you tell me for sure that one AMD athlon 1000mhz kt7a-raid one nvidia tnt2 m64, 3 harddrives and two cd-roms wil not run with a 235w power supply?

My dad has 2 CD-ROMS, 8MB Vid card, 2 Hard Drives, floppy, 1GHz Celeron, and 256MB PC-133 on 145W. Sparkle's Active PFC Series(Best Line Regulation, 1% "+" outputs, 2% "-" outputs), PC Power & Cooling Turbo Cool or Silencer series, or Antec TruePower series

When my PSU broke, I ran off of a 200W for about a week. KT7A-RAID, Tbird@1.3, GeForce2 GTS, 1 SCSI HD, 1 CD-ROM, 2 120mm fans. That would be a little less than half of what is usually in there, but it worked until the new PSU came in. I say your setup might run on a 235W, but is very close and may cause problems.

In any of todays systems I would not push using under a 300. I would also suggest the Antec True Power series PSU. They are less expensive than the Enermax and quieter than the Whisper ones. I have had both and my Antec 550watt is much quieter than my 431watt Whisper.
