im trying to install norton antivirus but whenever i click the isntall .exe it says "the system administrator has put policies in the prevent this action"....well i am the system administrator and i dont ever recall banning norton antivirus from my comp:).....how do i fix this?

make sure you are logged in as "Administrator".. Are you on a domain?
It would be somewhere in your Group Policies that you would have set that..
Start / Run / type "gpedit.msc"

In addition to su root's suggestion, you may also want to give this a read (from the Symantec support site)...
