I recently installed Ghost Recon. Every time I play it the game in some way errors out or screws up, most of the time the game just closes out, it doesn't just minimize, it completly cloeses out. It has also caused direct X errors and has locked up windows. I'm not sure what to do, I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game, checked all of the settings for my video card checked my directX and ran test to check to see if my directX drivers were screwed. If anyone can help me please do.
Update your video card drivers, update the DX to the latest version, and finally update the GHOST RECON to the latest version. Good luck

AMD T-BIRD 1333 (CLOCKED TO 1.5), NVIDIA GFORCE 3 (WAS CLOCKED TO 230Mhz, NOW RUNNING AT NORMAL 175, AND STILL HAVING PROBLEMS), I WILL KD 266 MOBO, 384M OF RAM, DIRECT X 8.1, MOST RECENT UPDATE FOR GHOST RECON, MOST RECENT DRIVERS FOR VIDEO CARD, WINDOWS XP, ENOUGH FANS TO KEEP TWO COMPUTERS COOL, 350 W ENERMAX PS. Could it be my hdd? I was having problems with it but not anymore, I'm also having problems with other direct x apps, such as screensavers, mad onion's 3d mark 2001 se, there might be a possibility that I had the video too aggresivley overclocked and may have damaged running ghost recon. But I guess the best way to tell if it's hardware is to start replacing parts. Thanks for your help.
