View Full Version : My First Mod is Done
well almost!
I put all the pics up here: http://www16.brinkster.com/adamsEnt64/firstmod.htm
Enjoy! Let me know what you think. Please keep in mind this was my first time, before you shoot me down completely :) hehe
If the link above does not work, paste it into your address bar and add a SPACE at the end, then try it.
Nice, looks a lot better than my first mod.
Did you take the PSU apart before you painted it?
hehe nope! I cheated and just painted it, turned it by the wires. I taped up the switch, the small 115switch, and the power plug in hole before painting the one side. I just went lightly over the holey areas and did it a few times, that way I didn't get much paint inside.
Still works though! I tried it just yesterday.
oops out of bandwidth, need to change the pic sizes again. :(
EDIT: Ok all fixed, at midnight EST y'all can view my masterpiece again, and this time it can be viewed more than 5 times hehe!

Woe, out of bandwidth sucks....
Nice mod... I likes the top window. Black is a good color for first paint mod, wise choice to make easyer detail repairs too... Personaly Iīd paint the interior of the case with a more reflexive kind of paint to add light reflex... IMHO off course, its Ok...
What do you say about: inverter?
Is that white thing? Thats needed to plug the fluorescent/neon/cathode lamps...? Well if itīs it, i have removed mine from the inside of the case becouse i noticed it generated a lot of heat and pluged into the back (already had the holes for all there :-) Nice gift!
Inverters create alot of heat eh? Well, It should be ok for that case, don't think it will get OCed at all. But for my case, maybe I will see about sticking it under the front grill, on the outside. Thanks for the info!

Yeah... Now itīs 17c in my room analogic termometer, 21c in the mobo, 20c on the cpu (with rain cooling software on + winamp playing mp3 and typing this....), Itīs on for 4 hours, the inverter is warm at the touch here too, but thatīs becouse of the pleasant temps here now and becouse itīs being cooled by the case outflux air in the back grill.... Itīs not something HHHOOOOTTT, but, anything I can make to keep it cool... is valid... I just remember it being hot at touch in the summer... In the winter it doesnīt matters too much, but many people start posting in the forum comments like "my system was running fine at that oc speed and now itīs unstable! And than we see that their overclock in the winter is not the same in the summer... It happens frequently...
Jadams, Hereīs a pick of the my inverter placed on the back of the case (sorry for the quality.... low light place...)

Excellent job, man.
Now what are you going to do for the next one? :)
Well for the next one, I have sent a case panel to 64thunderbolt so he can cut a cool design in it with his fancy machine. Then for the inside I had this thought today. Put in a black light. Then get that motherboard by Soyo that is mostly a white color. I think that would glow nicely under the black light. :) Add some white paint to the edges of the design, so that it looks like it is glowing in the black light as well.
Only not sure how good that MB is, i like my Abit, and was thinking of geting another Abit. Guess I'll have to do some reading up on Soyo!
Oh, I also was thinking of getting some of that paint that glows blue under black light, but is invis in normal light, blue cables, and I already have a clear fan with the blue LEDs for the side fan.
Anyway thats a few ideas i've been throwing around for my Antec case.
