My custom fan grill arrived from 64Thunderbolt (http://forum.oc-forums.com/vb/member.php?action=getinfo&userid=17760) today, and it is one damn fine piece of work! Well worth the money. I'll have to hunt down some screws (I know I have some somewhere) and put it on the fan, and snap another pic or two. But for now, I have these ones already done:

Main view again, w/ the inspiration in the background. The inspiration came from my Akira Limited Edition Tin Box DVD case. It's the capsule from Kanada's Jacket, if you've seen the anime.

I may be interested in some custom grills soon... first, I need to figure out what kind of window design I want.... perhaps he could do that to!? :D
Again, nice work with that water-jet... I seen a few pics of his craftsmanship floating around... very nice.
I like the design, Oni no Oni.. you just need to paint your case purple now :) :p
The pics might flutter on and off on occaision. They're hosted on my box though Win2k IIS, so they're only up when my box is up (I have cable, and a fairly static IP), but my box is always up unless it's unstable or something.

The grill installed w/ the side on. The cold cathode is on, but the flash kinda nullified it. I tried it w/o the flash, and it didn't show up at all. Maybe I'll try again later.

You can't really see it w/ the side on, and it doesn't impede airflow, so I'm not too worried about it. It's so messy cuz my burner recently died, and I had to work through a rats nest of wires and stuff, and I just haven't cleaned it up yet.

Yeah. The case is due for it's cleaning soon. Maybe tomorrow if I can convince my dad after work to help me (He hid the pressure valve for the compressor, or I'd do it myself)

and i'm going hunting for some free lexan at the local glass

Akira is my favorite Anime ever. That looks so badass. 100% in style points, bro.
PS- the akira dvd sucks, the voice actors are so stupid lol. I like the dubbed 1980s version, or the subbed original.

I gotta say.....that's freakin awesome. I don't really get into custom fan grills an stuff but that's truely a cool idea.
Akira was my first Anime movie :) After I saw it I drew that pill on my binders an stuff in school and was sent to the principal and everything because they thought I was on drugs :)
I'm actually kinda jelous that I didn't think of it!

I love my Tin box copy of Akira like a child. And I should, considering it cost me $60 cdn to import it from the states.

I don't like scary movies to be scared, I really like to make fun of them.
I just watched Evil Dead 3 last night. I love that movie. I mean, how could you hate a funny scary movie like that!?

We went from a fan grill to anime, 'cause the theme of the fan grill is from an anime called Akira. So you see, it makes sense.
