How do I take advantage of the digital output on the soundcard? Does my subwoofer have to have a digital in along with the regular input or what???

I never did figure this one out.

Coaxial SP/DIF won't fit and neither will optical. I think my headphones ended up fitting tho'. So much for digital..

Well if you have a reciever there are various jacks for front, back, digital for center and subwoofer. My speakers (Creative Inspire 5.1) use the digital jack for the subwoofer and center speaker.

yeah! his right but the problem is this:

what if you have a set of two speakers such as mine's (hk595) harman kardon. they have a digital input but i can't figure out how to use it! i already navigate thru all the manuals on both the sound card and the speakers and nothing.

You can't. The only real digital out the SBLive has is on the Live!Drive.

dammit! so i got to buy it to make that feature work then?

It might actually make your MP3 sound worst. SBLive's digital line is full of noise. Not worth the money.

I upgraded away from anything Creative after finding out other soundcard had cleaner sound.
