Stuff we should be able to do but can't

This might just be me, but then again it might be w/ 90% of the people here.

I can't seem to be able to post a poll, I dont see where I can in the course of posting a post. Also, I cant delete a post that I wish to get rid of, I get a message saying Im not logged in or dont have privileges etc. I think it'd be easier for all of us if we could do this, or easier for me if a smart person can point out what my dumb eyes missed ;)

I posted this earlier in another thread:

We ("normal" members) may not start polls - and that is for a good reason: All forums would be overflowed by meaningless polls if everybody could start polls!

You can delete your posts! But you cannot delete your threads! Maybe this is a point which could / should be changed. You should be able to delete your own threads as long as no reply to it has come in!

This is indeed correct. However, if you can convince a mod that it is a good idea, then they will set you up the poll.

You can delete your posts! But you cannot delete your threads! Maybe this is a point which could / should be changed. You should be able to delete your own threads as long as no reply to it has come in!

True again! As long as no-one has replied to your initial post, you can delete it. Again, if you wish to remove a post - PM a mod!

I think Skip changed it. If you need a poll posted, PM one of the mods and we will do it. If you need something deleted for whatever reason and can't do it, contact us. We are here to help and are certainly willing to.

you can't delete any thread you start no matter if it has replies or not... at least thats what i experienced.

Yeah thats what I was saying...it would be easier in this particular case to be able to do it yourself without going through the relative bother of an admin, so you save both people time...
