when i was first planing on buying the 2.26 it was going to be the 2.26b. I noticed that essencompu.com is selling the 2.26g..I am curious what the difference is between that and the 2.26a-b and also if the 2.26g will run with the bd7-2 because i just purchased both and now I am questioning myself..

so is the 2.26g a good buy for me or should I go with the 2.26b?

There's only "one" 2.26, and it's the 2.26b :)

I don't think so, they're pretty much the same, you're only losing the retail heat sink *big deal* :)
