I was curious to see how hot my xtacy ti4200 was so I washed my greasy paws and touched the core, it felt like a black car seat in the sun. I could barely keep my finger on it. I had my card overclocked but reverted back to stock because it didnt improve my 3d mark score at all. Is something wrong here? I have 29.42 drivers nforce chipset 2100 xp processor 512 ddr windows xp .

I maybe wrong about this but why can you touch your core? Shouldnt there be a fan heatsink something. If not i would think about getting a fan for that card will improve your 3dmarks.

I would guess he touched the backside of the card just above the core. If he actually touched the core while gaming, He can be very lucky to still have a working card:D

heh no problem... I just wish I could get more people to post their temps at diffrent levels of overclocking/stability... I am curious at what tempature the GPUs start to break down... and if it is similar for all of the geforce4 chips... or has great variation across chips... oh well...
