this is a page from a review of the bd7II mobo.i took the Northbridge heatsink off to take a look at it again.there is a piece of foam or some sort around outer edge.
i bought a TT tiger1 chipset cooler for it.the thing that is worrying me is those little rectangular pieces located around the ich4 chip.when i put the other chipset cooler on parts of the heatsink i beleive are sitting flush on those pieces.
is this why abit put that little foam stip around edge of it`s heatsink.i have some 3m frag tape i could put around edge of ich4 chip to cover up the little rectangular pieces.i have right now my compunurse on the northbridge & it is reading 39.9c while i am typing this.
i will be curious to see the temp differences with the TT cooler.
WHEW,thnx for any feedback on this issue.
