Rookie question bout mountin' my FOP-32!

Hey all,

Got my FOP-32 on the cheap from a reseller. It's got no docs so I was wondering how I go about mounting the damn thing. I saw how I need to be careful with the mounting bracket, I guess my real question is do I need the square of mounting tape(I guess that's what that **** is) or should I pull it off and use mounting grease? My thanks in advance!

Id remove the pad and go with a really thin coat of thermal compound. If you have an athlon/duron be super careful or you'll mash your chip, you might want to even use a different heat sink clip. Make sure you get it as flat as possible before pulling the clip on (a second set of hands helps).
