Anyone else in canada getting higher with tweaks of their own?
Yes i've tried the normal software tweaks with rwins but if you are getting more than 1.1megabits in canada (ontario) what did you do with your cable modem?

your isp gives you a maximum your line will run... in your case 1.5mbps your speed is pretty typical just slightly lower than average but just by 50-100kbps.

my dsl line is supposed to be 1.5mbps and i regularly get 1.8-2.0 mbps. it just depends on your service provider.

don't fret because its not at full speed, you are right where it should be.

yes, in most isp's aup (acceptable use of policy), it states that your speeds CAN go up to 1.5mbit/sec. It doesn't state that it will ALWAYS be at that speed.

I think it really depends on where you live and what time you're accessing the internet. During peak hours, I get approximately 1.1 mbit/sec with Shaw, while during non-peak hours, I get approximately 1.4 mbit/sec. So it doesn't always stay the same. 1.5 mbit/sec is the maximum you're supposed to go, but don't expect to get that during peak hours (even with tweaks).
