Just now I have 320Mb sdram and was thinking of upgrading to 256mb of ddr ram but then I looked at the prices and thought what if I just got a 256Mb sdram stick which would mean I would have 2*256Mb sticks and a spare 64Mb stick or would it be better to just have one DDR stick?

Thanks for any help.

personally i would go with a stick of DDR 256mb over having 512mb of regular sdram hehe. i assume your motherboard has sdram slots and ddr slots eh ?

yes, make sure your mobo can support DDR. Also if your running a PIII or an AMD lower then a XP you probably won't seeing any increase in proformace. Maybe alittle, but I don't feel it justifies the cost.

Yeh my mobo can support both.
Ive got the Jetway 867AS, cheap but it works! And I have an Athlon XP 1800+.
