SiS 315 crap

i got a newe computer recently and i bought a friends SiS 315 vid card, it looked like a million bucks, i boot up the system, install everything and all that, i start to play warcraft 3 and the game is really dark, i dont know what to do, i cant figure it out i cant find the readme manuel i got or the online stuff for the fix, what do i do?

I dont play that game so I dont exactly know but most games have settings for brightness and gamma, try to find those in the options somewhere. turn up the brightness, then adjust the gamma if you have that setting. I have noticed that quite a few games use the F11 and F10 keys for adjusting the brightness while playing but the game options is a safer bet to find it.

i have seen that happen with many openGL games (dont know if wc3 is ogl or direct 3d) but i dont think i adjusted the brightness, i just updated the drivers or changed the refresh rate and the problem went away, so you might want to give that a shot first.

War3 is D3D

Try upping the gamma. It's either that dark due to the monitor not being bright enough or the monitor not having enough contrast. Probably a combonation of the two.

yeah for some strange reason the game wont let me change the gamma or contrast, and the monitor worked fine with my other gefocer 2gts so i
m really stuck, but i'll try some more stuff
