from a review re: kingmax ddr 333

Like in the KingMax TinyBGA PC133 SDRAM review, the memory was only tested with the most aggressive settings. 4-way memory interleaving was turned on, memory timings were set to 5-2-2, 1T, CL2.5 and all the rest were at their best settings. The KingMax TinyBGA PC2700 DDR SDRAM (6ns variant) would not run at CL2 while running at 166MHz DDR.

how do i configure the 5-2-2 in the dram/drive control in bios???

dram latency and dram bus command rate is easy..
but where does the 5-2-2 come in

here is how my bios looks like

dram clock 166
dram timing manual
dram cas latency 2.5
bank interleave 4 bank
pre charge to active trp 3t
active to precharge tras 6t
active to cmd trcd 3t
dram burst length 4
dram queue depth 4 level
dram command rate 1t command

what category do i modify to get 5-2-2 ?? thnks...

Well, you kind of have it backwards 2-2-2 reffers to the cas latency, pre charge to active and active to cmd. Set each one of these to 2 for best performance. As for active to precharge, I would recommend keeping it at 6 because it improves performance very little if at all and it will often cause instability. Hope that helps.
