Remove old cooler from a Duron

I just bought a 700MHz Duron and do intend to change my poor installed Coolermaster cooler against a good Alpha cooler.
I heard that you may damage the Duron when removing the cooler where may I find a procedure for removing the cooler properly??

Just tak it off slow and easy. Most Durons/Athlons are damaged by installing heatsinks (namely the golden orb) not removing them. Just take it slow and go easy.
