You were lucky you didn't smoke the chip. Got the same mobo and smoked a 2100xp last week.Trust me doesn't take too long to fry it.Got a bad stick of pc2700 mem,which in turn fryed my 2100. Bought another and had no problems the store wher e I bought the mem. replaced the mem.At first they said no but after I started getting loud and telling them I would not pay for a new stick they did($155.00). The processer fryed because of the mem was bad, going to AMD and fight with them to get another processer sending it bad next week.We will see what happens.
