I think I know where all the Samsung CTL went...

on newegg look at wintec ram the 512mb stick says:

note the CTL.....it uses samsung ctl chips....any thoughts on this

Never heard of the brand itself (wintec) hmmm....it would probably do better than DTL but not as good as true samsung CTL...IMHO the brand putting the chips on the PCB matters as well
