thanks everyone for helping me to build this beast....HAL RULES

BTW: Hal is the name that I call any new computer that I make because of the reference to 2001: A space oddessy and its underlying message that these damn computers have a mine of their own....   .

You should be able to get more than 3.25 wu per day, at 24/7, a 1800+ should do 1 wu in 4.5 - 5.0 Hrs.  :burn:

well, actually, a XP1800+ DDR should produce 'bout 7-8 WU / day depend on the FSB.

I kind of don't know what you mean by stepping...Could ya jog my memory please? How would I increase my FSB anyway? I haven't unlocked my processor yet and probably won't for a while...Least until I can afford to replace it :) What could I do to increase the FSB or Mhz's.....I'm running like 60C at load right now so I would probably hold off until I get a SLK-800

Congrats to you and Hal! lol

Low 3 hour times are right in sight for you my friend, but you are right to cool that thing down first.

When you do get a better heatsink, unlock the chip while you're changing it....you will be able to crank the fsb up higher with a lower multi.
ExtraTerrestrials LIKE high front side bus speeds.:D
