My 19" monitor just went to the graveyard :( Yes, it's a hard time in my life. Anyway, I need a replacement. What's a good 19" with good quality, high resolutions, and high refresh rates, Flat CRT Monitor to get?

I'd suggest a KDS 19" monitor. It can do 1600x1200 @ 75 hertz and is under 200 bucks.
i prefer not to recommend monitors because there are always many ppl who get problem with great models and ppl who wont ever get any one.
i prefer to recommend you to read reviews and user opinions at cnet (http://computers.cnet.com/hardware/1,10121,0-2295747-402-0,00.html?tag=st.co.2295747-402.bnav.2295747-402&pn=1&ob=1&qt=&qn=&F1=0&F4=0&F7=0&F8=0&F9=2&F11=0) because they use to accurately review each one and you can still check out some users reviews.

If I should recommend one, My vote goes to Iiyama Vision Master Pro 454. Best bang for the buck in my opinion.
Price is around 400$ I think.

LOOK AT SOME SAMSUNG MONITORS
They don't offer the highest refresh rates or resolutions, but mine has a .20mm dot pitch :) Crystal clear, to say the least.

Not too expensive, either... I got mine for $160 US but it's a 17 inch. Just consider it and make sure you shop around.
you should double check or to be suspicious to say the least of the models with too high refresh rates at higher resolutions than the expected for the size, because such monitors use to have moire and other stuff. just check users opinions on the products.

I had just posted about a similar topic (less then $500) and I have to say it is amazing the different tastes out there.
For example, I just purchased a SyncMaster 753 or something like that for a sale to a friend. He didn't have much money and the monitor was less the $200.00.
I have heard that Samsung was making some good visual equipment (esp in LCD area) and was looking forward to seeing this CRT in action.
I was very disappointed. IMO I thought my 4 year old Sony Trinitron looks much better then the Samsung did. Also it has been very hard for me to find something with as good image quality in my price range.
But then someone else maybe would look at the SyncMaster and think it was awesome. I know my friend loved it. So I guess what it comes down to is look at the screens in action and decide for yourself what is better. Although getting some advice from knowledgeable people doesn't hurt, in the end I will be the one looking at the screen.

The best 19" CRT monitor thats out right now that money can buy is the ViewSonic P90F.
1600x1200 @ 87Hz with .24dot pitch baby!
or 1920x1080 @ 85Hz HD-TV Quality.
Did I mention my sister has this monitor and 2048x1536 works at 65hz even thou its not mentioned in the manual.
We paid $579 Canadian for this puppy!

I dont like the viewsonic monitors... they are not very reliable... hence the low prices.
I have my nice 17 in. (16 viewable) .20 dot pitch Samsung SyncMaster 753DF PerfectFlat and I love it. Even the expesive LCD displays are nothing compared to this beauty. To get better image quality and sharpness than this monitor you would have to go find an expensive, high quality plasma screen. Cost me $160. You could probably get the same monitor, 19 inch, if ya want for well under $200 (with mail-in rebates). If you dont care about how much space your monitor takes up and are on a low budget then you should definitely go with a Samsung Perfect Flatness CRT.

I just had a monitor go out on me and I replaced it with an NEC MultiSync 97F. It is one of their newest 19" Flat CRTs and is doing a great job for me. They had a rebate going on at the local Staples so it ran me around $230.

You might want to take a look at the Hitachi CM721 ...

MY multisync 90 is nice but contrast and brightness and overall color of the multisync's have never impressed me. The trinitrons are nice but my dad got this 17" viewsonic from work and it has to be THE most vivid, colorful, bright, best contrasted monitor I'd ever seen. WHAT COLOR! My next CRT/LCD is definitely going to be a viewsonic.
SyncMaster 955df - go to anandtech and check their review - great monitor for a great price (220$ for mine).........flat screen.....

I bought a KDS 19" monitor, after one month and a half a dozen phone calls, including threats of a lawsuit and proving to the General Manager of KDS Canada that at least one of his employees had been telling me blatant lies (something I can still prove in court with irrefutable documentation) I got a full refund. And now I own a beautiful NEC monitor, and I'm happy.

ViewSonic monitors are very reliable, what are you talking about? I know of four computer stores in town that all sell ViewSonic and the return rate on the ViewSonic monitors is the lowest of the brands.
