How silver is it? Would it look ok with a brushed alum. Lian-li case? How are the buttons etc?

I find that slim keyboards are much more comfortable once you get used the odd keyconfiguration. You don't have to press the keys down as far.
I sooooo want one.
Droooool....

Well I am getting one of these the day my near computer shop gets them no matter the price. I already have a Trust Keyboard and they are really comfortable.

yeah I have a feeling I'm gonna miss my natural keyboard. The viewsonic looks like its going to be the winner for $35. I just hope it doesn't clash too badly with my brushed aluminum...
yo, where can i get that trust keyboard. That keyboard looks awesome.

doubt I'll be able to add an EL strip under that VIEWSONIC like I did my Natural :-(
<sigh> sacrifices... wish I could just spray paint my current one metallic silver, I just need a way to reletter my keyboard if I spray paint... ideas? do they have sticker sets or anything out there?
EDIT: something like THIS (http://www.hooleon.com/prod-replace.htm)
Bah, wussy memberane keyboards.
Now this is a real keyboard:

I use one of those every day, and it's absoultely great. It is so much easier to type when you actually have tactile and audible feedback! Yea, Buckling spring!

My local computer shop is their agent here in Malta. You can try to find an online shop in the US.

just light-hearted joking around dude, no offense meant... jeeze everyone's so uptight around here tonight...
seriously nothing against you at all...
EDIT: please clarify "membrane" vs "other" type keyboard. I'm pretty sure I that "membrane" of which you are speaking is that rubber sheet that lies over the plastic with the swirlie contacts on it... I've opened quite a few keyboards in my time but nothing as old as those IBM's. Whats underneith those hoods?

ok, bought the viewsonic from newegg. I will post and let everyone know how it looks and how well it matches/clashes with the lian-li brushed aluminum look... <sigh> here goes nothing. Hopefully I'll be able to throw a blue EL strip in this keyboard too! MMM now THAT would be perfect!

OR better yet you could write up a whole review for the front page. **hint hint** (CUZ I SAID SO)

Ah, I wish I could get one but there are two problems. No money, and it would look crappy with my SYLVANIA LCD. Its like a brown white monitor. UGLY! What about matching mice?

I had a condensed keyboard, like the top one cept it didnt have the numpad. I tried to get used to it but couldnt, specialy the home end and delete keys. I ended up throwing it in my computer closet for future use on a backup comp after a week and buying a plain old ms internet keyboard hehe.

write a review? On the keyboard? or insertion of the EL strip. I guess I could take some side-by-side digitals of the keyboard and my lian-li and just post it here...
Next stop, silver LCD land...
I have been using the same keyboard since 97. It used to be white, now it is... better leave it at that ;(
I got lots of optical mice though :p

Optical mice are one of the best things to happen to computers in the last couple years IMHO. I take my Logitech Dual Optical to work with me because I cant stand scraping a pound of junk out of the mice everytime I move workstations :)

YOu must have dirty workstations (or hands) ;)
I only have to clean my ball mouse every 6 months. Optical mice still need lens cleaning.

I work with a bunch of really unprofessional(not all, just some) people that think its okay to eat massive amounts of food while talking to customers on the phone  I generally lock my workstation when I leave but if some jacka** decides to reboot my machine and log in then I have to move to another workstation(which involves cleaning the keyboard and scraping junk out from the mouse).

I just have sweaty hands and dusty rooms, I needed to clean mine at least once a week. I tried the MS rollerball optical and even that one got gunked up daily. The only way to go is regular optical. MS/IBM, stick with da winners :-)

OK, this is the first thing I'm typing on my new keyboard and boy am I having a hard time with this. It's really hard going from a massive natural keyboard to a slim model but DAMN is this a sweet looking keyboard.
I will write a review of the keyboard with digital pics of side-by-side next to my lian-li so others have a good idea of how close in color the two are.
When/IF a company ever decides to make a natural SILVER keyboard rest assured I'm dumping this one to go back. My wrists hurt already ;-)
