dual monitors and background config

i have my dual monitors setup
my left one which is the main one is running at 1280x1024 and my right one is running at 1024x768

how can i make a background for this?
the way it is right now is the same background on each of them just repeated
it looks pretty bad
can anyone help?

if u r running winxp, there's no way to strech them. not one that i've found neway. That's why when I go dual, I just have a single background colour eg orange and place active desktop images at different places. It looks good that way :)

how do i move things around on my active desktop?
im in windows 2000
i put a pic as an object, and its half on one monitor and half on the other

right click on ur desktop and bring up the context menu. scroll through there until you find something along the lines of "Lock web items on desktop". Make sure this is deselected. Then hover ur mouse over the picture for a while and a bar should appear on top of the pic. Drag this bar to move the pic.
