Does anybody really know their cpu temp...I mean really?

Depending on the motherboard hardware leaves a lot to be desired. I have a Tektronix thermocouple temperature meter I use to see if they are reasonable. They're usually within a few degrees at best. Even so, it's relative. If your system works, and then develops problems at a certain indicated temperature, it's still letting you know it's temperature related. That's the important part.
