Well I think that I will be going dualie....Now I just want to make sure because my bday now like 8 days away I believe...so here is what I wanted to make
2x 2000+MPs
Gigabyte whatever the number is...the one newegg has
2x 512MB Crucial DDR 2100
2x Gladiator II HS/Fs
2x 80GB Western Digital "SE" In RAID 0
Geforce 4 ti4600
Audigy Platinum
My question is very simple...I'm a hardcore gamer and I do a lot of editing and stuff...from what I have read, most games don't like SMP...is this true? Will I not be able to play my games that I loved to play...things like CS, warcraft 3, etc, etc?
Also as I said I'm a gamer so will this system be good for gaming also...I know it will be good for my editing needs but will those 2000+'s and that gf4 make my games fly also?
Thanx for your input...I just want some reassurment ;)

You'll be able to game just fine.
One thing about the Audigy though (and most sound cards for that matter) is that the 760MPX chipset has a hard time with it. It can't make up it's mind which CPU to send the sound card stuff to. There's this thing called an interrupt affinity filter (http://forums.2cpu.com/showthread.php?threadid=19854&highlight=interrupt+affinity+filter) that fixes this. Basically it's a small utility you install that allows you to go down a list of all device drivers that use interrupts and set interrupts to favor one CPU.
What you do is install it and then go down the list and (I did this and it worked fine) send everything remotely resembling creative, audigy or multimedia to a CPU (doesn't matter which). This means your sound card will come close to thinking it's on a single-CPU system. It worked great for me.
Actually Jon gets the credit for this one. As you can see from that thread at 2cpu.com, he posted where to get the file you need (ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/bussys/winnt/winnt-public/tools/affinity/).

This baby will be on 24/7 since I don't ahve to worry about overheating...considering I don't plan on OCing although I may have to a little...who can't resist?!:D
And the total price will be about 2,300 when I include S&H/mods/ and what not...otherwise about 1,900 just ahrdware,no hidden charges

lol....oh well....not my money and it is less expensive to keep it running 24/7 then turing it on and off...plus it is less damaging to the CPU to leave it on all the time

I would see about getting a TerracTec DMX 6Fire 24/96 LT, if possible. (Unless you don't care about ripping the biggest, most uncompressed .wavs,).
