Try to scrape most of it off with a razor blade if you can, I was trying to remove stock thermal paste from a 400 celly and it was kinda dried up, so i squirted a lil windex on it and it came right off with a paper towel.

i use purple auto degreaser (diluted 1/2 water) and clean it up with rubbing alcohol.

If you got arctic silver 2 - spread it really think, almost so you can see lettering through from the die, u can use a razor or credit card to scrape it across.

Same for AS3, but it can be used a little more liberally because it flows out from under the heatsink better.

easiest way.

#1 - Take a cotton swap with the isopropyl alcohol, and wipe it off.
#2 - Wait, that's all

That's the easiest way.
