pump and psu question

Alright i wanna wire my pump to my psu. so heres my question, the pump powercord has a black and wire inside the power cord. Also can i just take a molex connector from an old fan and hook it up like that? I guess the real question is which wire is ground and which is the power? Black or white

Your PSU outputs are 12v and 5v DC. Most pumps take 120vAC. To wire it so it starts with your system, try using a relay, as shown here (http://www.overclockers.com/tips242).

alright i went out and got the relay and according to that article do i need that 120v hook up? as i lost the part of my pump that plugs into the wall outlet. if i do need it then what else should i hook it up too?
