What do you think about the mod? I took a Pentium hs and drilled two holes to attach it to the card. I used a pentium II hs fan and attached it to the cooler. My core is running at 220 max setting with the registry tweak. The only down side is that it takes up a pci slot.

Did you take off the ram heatsinks and redo their glue job with something better?

Did your card come with the stock fan? The reason I ask is because I am getting a 220/500 with stock cooling and a fanbuss cooler card in the adjacent slot.

I forgot to post the finished product. I was getting about 210 before the mod, but now I'm upto 220. The o/c slider only goes upto 220 so I don't know how much more the card can take.

I removed the stock sink and put as3 on for good measures.

how do u know where to drill in the board? U may just hit some circuits on the board

anyway, I really like the pic that shows a pentium processor fan on the video card

I am still thinking on how to utilize my pentium4 processor fan (socket478)

I didn't need to drill the holes on the card because I used the the original hs holes that the old hs was attached. I just lined up the Pentium hs and marked the drill holes for Pentium hs from the back of the card. I drilled two holes on the Pentium hs and attched the bolt. I did it this way because I didn't want to epoxy my hs to the card, and I can always remove it later just by removing the bolts. This was the only hs that was low enough for me to attched the fan and only takes up one pci slot. The P4 cooler was way too big for this card and I can only sacrafice one slot.
