Here (http://www.designcomp.com/Cases/Lian-Li/Anodized/PC70/R2/Red_Inside/pc70r2_inred.htm) is a link to a sweet case thats anodized in red on the inside only. I think this case is very attractive, and I'm sure some of you can appreciate it's beauty as well. It costs 134$ to get the inside only anodized (that price is for a lian li PC60) and 184$ for the whole thing. I'm curious how the inside of a case would look with this and a red Cold cathode light. Do yall think it would look good, or would the red light not show up as much. I was also pondering doing a white cold cathode light, or maybe a blue one. Just wanted some opinions. I am going to do it on a Lian Li PC60, with a custom design for the window. May even do a window on the other side also, just to show off the anodized red. Whatcha think???

That's exactly what i've been planning to do with my case, but in a bluish color to match my cold cathode kit.

Those cases have been talked about here in the past & they are great. They also cost too much & there are other things more important than looks.

I couldn't agree with you more on the cost issue. I am going to buy my Lian Li PC60 from someone else, and take off all the side panels, and ship them the inside that I want anodized. I was contemplating getting the blue myself, but i'm not sure how it will look, because they haven't got a silver one with blue guts. NE ways, I think it would make a nice accent, and seperate me from the rest as far as cases go. You know how everyone is getting Lian Li's nowadays, at least mine will be somewhat unique. I love blue aluminum, it is like my favorite color, but the red is different, and I like to be an individual. I'm still torn, but I have plenty of time to think about it, because my bank account is kinda dry at the moment.

Not sure about cost but if you do it yourself it will be a more of an experience. LOOK HERE (http://easyweb.easynet.co.uk/~chrish/t-anodis.htm) & HERE (http://www.focuser.com/atm/anodize/anodize.html) for some tips & don't forget to look around town for a shop to do it for you. Better than having it sent away I would think.

Any custom rod shop should be able to do it for you.

Umm, no offense, but that looks like it would be very very difficult to do yourself. I mean, sulfuric acid, car battery charger, dye, etc...I read how to do it at first, and after I did that I decided to get someone to do it for me. Plus, I would have to find a container large enough to put the entire case in, not to mention I would have to prep every surface in the computer to be anodized. That just seems a little to complicated for me my friend. I like to mod and everything, but I'd rather pay the 134$ to have it delivered to my door. Not to mention I don't have the time it would take to do it. Not for such a small benefit. I would more than likely mess it up, and be out a small fortune. Its also dangerous. If someone has done this, or plans on it, let me know, because I will give you props if you pull it off.

How about powercoating, aka enamal coating? (http://www.eastwoodco.com/cgi-bin/sgdynamo.exe?HTNAME=/hotcoat/hc.htm&UID=2002073115355552) Chrome platining and anodizing should only be done by professionals.

I would still go for anodizing for this type of project since the finnish has a different quality to it. The nice thing about anodizing is that you still see the metal underneath unlike powdercoating though it looks just as good but it's really not the same effect.
