Is Audigy twice as good as SBLive!?

I recently got the logitech z-560s, and realized that my onboard sound is not taking advantage of these awesome speakers. My question is, does the Audigy sound that much better than the SBLive! 5.1. It's roughly twice the price.

I'm not a big gamer. I use my audio mainly for listening to music and watching DVDs. I already have a Firewire card, so that's not needed on the Audigy. Should I just save my money and get the Live!?

Herm... I got a SB Live! Value for $24 and it sounds perfect with the new drivers. I would recommend it.

oh btw, I'm using creative Inspire 5300 5.1 speakers. The Bass and Surround Sound are awesome.

my friend has those speakers they sound ok.... not really great bass but still nice for the price. He brought it for $70 bucks pretty cheap. His middle speaker isn't working does yours work? he has a audigy x gamer. His brother has a SB LIVE XGAMER which he says he couldn't see the difference

yes... my middle speaker finally works... at first it didn't, but I had it plugged into the wrong port... it was mislabeled... also it won't work with mp3's. It will only work with games that support surround sound and have surround sound enabled. DVD's also support 5.1.

Diablo 2 works on my center channel when I have 3d sound enabled... So does AVP2, RTCW... all the goodies.

Does he have a 5.1 card?
