View Full Version : Overclocking PIII700E@910
My temperatures are 118F CPU and 86F MB as I run SETI. When I am not running SETI CPU temp drops to 96F. I am using a Golden Orb. Case is a Full Tower Inwin Q500 with 2 fans + ps fan. Is 118F too high?

Go to the CPU database off the front page of overclockers.com, and check the spec sheets for the P3. Look for your one in the list, and see what it's max temp is. I usually try to stay at around half of that.
Your problem is your Golden Orb. I had a PIII800EB over clokced to 980 and temps were getting too high so I got rid of the Golden orb and put on an old ALpha and my temps dropped by 10c (whatever that is in F) Glorbs bite the big one I hate to say, look cool though
