Here is a clip from Cray's new technology video for their latest supercomputer. Keep in mind, this is copyright Cray. This video highlights their phase-change cooling using Flourinert. It is sprayed directly onto the chip, and looks like it works extremely well. I think someone should attempt this and tell us how it works!.

The Video is about 11.4 megs. Encoded in DivX5.01

Any feedback?

Think of the cooling, though!

Hehe... well it certainly looks cool, but wow! You could buy a heck of a lot of computers with great cooling systems for the money it would take to make a system like theirs! Just the Fluorinert would cost like $500+.

It looks beautifully made though - very nice spray blocks. They have a manifold that sits over the modules and transports the vaporized fluorinert to be cooled somewhere else! A MANIFOLD in a computer! Ye gods!
