View Full Version : Win2k server +VPN or tunneling with SSH?
Which option is the best one?
Port forwarding or hardware VPN concentrators are not options.
Any opinions?
What will you be using this connection for?
I do find SSH more flexible and easier to setup and maintain as opposed to VPN though.
I'm on a pretty big lan and the thing is that 1/3 of all the subnets are not allowed to communicate between them. Only 2/3 of them can with all. All the routers and servers are maintained by the owners of our dorms, not the ISP (which is my university). The weird thing is that they own those dorms that have access to all subnets as well. I'm going to try to persuade a friend of mine to share some Mbps of his bandwidth, perhaps for some beers or so ;)
