Okay I'm trying to brainstorm for a new case about where i should put the fans. The case is an enermax CS-003-A106. It came with 2 fairly quiet 80mm case fans. One blowhole on the top, and one side intake fan. I am going to buy 1 medium output panaflo 92mm fan, and 1 low output panaflo 120mm fan. I am going to place the 120mm fan in the front to act as in intake. This is where my question is. Should I have the 92mm fan as a rear exhaust? Or have it as a top blowhole? I am thinking that the air is flowing in a straight path from the 120mm fan, to the rear of the computer, so it would be better to have a higher cfm fan to be able to handle the amount air coming from the front. I am also going to have a duct going to my cpu so i'm not worried about the airflow around the hsf.
Another question. Would the side intake/top blowhole interfere with the airflow of the front intake/rear exhaust? If so, how do i fix this?
Anyone have any comments? Any experienced suggestions?
BTW, my case will only allow an 80mm fan for the rear exhaust and top blowhole, so experimenting with fan placement is not an option. to make the 92mm fan fit i will have to mod the case a little to fit it, and i wouldnt be able to get it back to its original state.
