I was installing a stick ov 512mb pc133 ram for one of my friends on his comp and it would boot up to say "checking rvram..." and that was it. I tried all the slots for ram nothing. Ne suggestions. Is the ram bad???

Could be bad ram, it could also be incompatible ram. Try swapping with a stick from your system. That's probably the fastest way to check.

Ok well I did get to switch the memory. The stick of 512mb works fine on my comp. I let me have my 2 256 for the 512. The 2x256 will boot into the desktop then everytime I'll get a BSOD ne suggestions???

What os is your friend using. 98se and below can only handle 512 ram total. Also what are the bios settings like on that board. If you can not get it to work than just send all of that memory my way. I will put it to good use. :D :D :D
