How long does it take to get all the bubbles out of a system? I still see them flowing through, ignoring my t-connector after about 10 minutes now...

Usually if I let the pump run over night I can get everything out by the middle of the next day. It suck having to stare at your tubes watching as tiny tiny little bubbles slowly make their way up the tubes. Don't forget to check the water level everyonce in a while in the fill tube.

To you need special valves to bleed the system?

Nope, I am using a t-connector with about a foot of tubing going up; it seems to be bubbling out just fine...

Heres a great link that someone posted a couple of weeks ago about the best ways to bleed the system. Using the T system doesnt seem to be as effective as the other ways, but it works, just takes a while though.

An air trap is similar to a mini/small res that is mounted above everything else, correct?

By the looks of it on the link, an air trap is a res.
