I think i've made up my mind....but i need your opinon too

Would you choose 3.2GHZ ...and 2850 mem score

...or 2.96GHZ (kicked out of 3G club)...and the score above ?

Get some of that GEIL ram and do both......17*176 using 3:4 divider :D

hehehe

bignuttz will be all over this tomorrow morning when he gets home, but no no and more no, forget the 3 gig club, 2.9 is fine, and you are running at pc1120 scores, that is awesome, i say 2.9 all day.:D

I need 3 more MHZ....the cpu 2.26B can do it easily....but the ram
cant.

Well I have swapped 3000mhz 17*174 using 1:1 for 2800mhz cos I can now after a week run my ram at 164/218 stable :D I can bench 170 but its not stable enough to leave but 164 was stable 100% :)

http://users.bigpond.net.au/creat/intel/sandra170withdivider.JPG

Id take the mhz sacrifice and go with the bandwidth dood...:)

TASOS,ram can't go higher...That's not good...Did you overvoltage it...???...Cause Corsair XMS2700 goes till 207MHz with 2,9Vmem...:)...If that's a fact then what shall I do???Iwant to run the mem 177 bus 3:4...at least...Wouldn't that be posible???

177*4/3 = 236 dood so nah dont think if its only doing 207 u will get that...:(

155*4/3 = 206 so u could get that :)

You propably didn't undersood....:) ...Now I have Corsair XMS2700C2 and goes at 207MHz...but I've ordered Corsair XMS3000C2..For thiS memory I wonder if "she" could go at 236MHz...;)

I don't like that...:( ...Even if overvolting it????

so after all this babling, should i go for pc3200cas2 ddr instead of pc1066 rimms??? keep in mind the memory bandwidth priority is over the cpu cloclspeed...

You've got an excellent mem bandwidth yourself too

Hipro

NO...the ram is maxxed out
Cant go higher & be stable...it gives errors in Prime95
Now it's @2.9V 2.5-3-3-7

Also note that this stick is version 2.1

Perhaps the newer one PC-3200 Cas2 can do better.

i would definately trade cpu mhz for ram bandwidth.

with my mushkin at 188mhz i was getting about 3050 mb/s.

i have since downclocked to wait for better cooling. 135/180 still gets about 2890 mb/s

I think the new Corsair XMS3200 that runs 200cas2 will be some good memory. Its using the winbond chips and is revision 2.1 like the platinum so i guess its hand picked sticks again. Not too big a deal, as long as you know ure getting fast memory.

With the BD7II I only have 2.7 volts to play with on the vdimm, i rekon if I had up to 3.2 or something, I could run 170 all day everyday....but as it is now, I cant run more than 165/220 which I spose isnt that bad :D 165 still fails prime but runs everything else I throw at it including pcmark2202, superPI, 3dmark2001, sisoft etc etc so to me its stable

Let the ram burn i for another week and just maybe you might get the bandwidth AND 3gig ;)

YOU CAN DO IT!!!! :D:D

although i have no experience with Intel Cpu's on this topic, on my amd chip if i run it at 1700mhz and 200fsb (2-3-3-2) it will DESTROY a chip running 12x150=1800mhz 2-2-2-1 in 3dmark.

In other words you agree for max mem bandwidth instead of clock speed too.
