I looked at the guide at burning issues. I need a more powerful PSU, but strapped for cash, so is there any other way to do dual PSU? The burning issues guide is a little hard for me. Could I buy a slave PSU, and just use it to run the fans, floppy drive, and the cdROM? And have my master run everything else?

most definatley
very easy thing to do just do as so in this picture
, but you'l have to reach back and turn on/off the psu every time you start you somputer, so you might want to fashion a switch to the front of you r computer

Now if I were to do this, the slave would be running floppy, cdrom, and case fans. Would it help the master +5v and +3v?

prolly cause your nott using more of the 5 volt and 3.3 volt lines so it would be a better spread

i dunno i'll try to find one but i've never done it, you know, you could try to just extend the wires for the psu power on switch so that they reach to the front of the case, then you could put one of these bad boys on it....Military Switch (http://www.caseetc.com/cgi-bin/caseetc/EC-399.html)

I have a dual PSU set up and I ran it w/o the Burning Issue mod for a week to see which PSU got the highest voltages. I would swap them back and forth then record the info.
The mod itself is not that hard and I had spare ATX connectors and old dead ATX mobo for parts.

might taking the power on signal wires on mobo plug from PSU1, and cutting them and having the signal wires gonig into PSU2 join in to those work?
goto thread: need a case w/ 2 psu

Ther is no slave master PSU, you jsut get 2 regular ones, 350s will do, and join them liek i said they wil both turn on at once, one for all the drives one for the mobo wil be good. fans are up to you I don't think they suck up much juice.
